Explore ShapeShift Technologies’ façade projects across Australia, showcasing GRC, FRC and fibre reinforced material solutions developed for diverse architectural applications and locations.

ShapeShift Technologies manufactures fibre reinforced facade panels, feature elements and public art on Batam Island, Indonesia, and has delivered more than 350 projects across 18 countries over roughly 25 years. This page sets out where panels are made and where completed work stands, with the architects, builders and materials on each.
Location sets the logistics and the exposure conditions, not what can be supplied. Panels ship from an Asian port while engineering, shop drawings and project management run from the Australian office in Newstead, Brisbane. Materials are set out on the ShapeShell™-RC, ShapeShell™-RT and ShapeShell™-RG pages, and the full archive is at the project showcase.
All manufacturing runs from the Batam plant: two buildings giving 100,000 sq ft of factory space and the same again outdoors, producing around 40,000 sq ft a month, with capacity scaling two to three times on six months’ notice and ISO 9001 accreditation held for ten years. Mould making and CNC formwork are done in-house. See the GFRC factory page for the details.

Specializes in creating intricate, lightweight, and durable façades. Our solutions support complex, curvilinear designs while maintaining structural integrity and aesthetics.

For interior and exterior designs, we offer custom-designed feature walls and panels. These elements provide a balance of functionality and visual appeal, using materials that are both innovative and sustainable.

ShapeShift Technologies’ lightweight and reinforced materials are perfect for constructing complex ceiling designs, such as domes and canopies, that are both durable and weather-resistant.

Columns and decorative supports are another area where we delivers solutions. These can be engineered for both structural load-bearing and aesthetic purposes, ensuring seamlessness with the overall design vision.

ShapeShift Technologies also produces balustrades and screens, which combine safety with striking architectural design. These elements are tailored to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements.

We engineered a specific panel to deflect and diffuse sound waves for balanced acoustics in a variety of performances. These advanced panels can integrate with the architectural aesthetic of the building.
The standard scope is design, engineering and manufacture of feature elements: working from the architect’s intent and the approved shop drawings to rationalise panel types, engineer the fixing approach, fabricate the moulds and manufacture the panels. Supply ranges from standard panels in stock sizes through to one-off sculptural elements.

Work outside Australia and New Zealand spans 18 countries. Completed international projects, with panel counts, geometry and finishes, are listed in the project showcase. For a project in a market not listed here, the facade fire standards atlas compares the cladding fire regimes of nine jurisdictions so you can see which test pathway applies before you specify.
